Research For Radio

We researched different genres of radio:

BBC which is more of a formal radio station which revolves around the news and happenings around the world.


Where as Chris Moyles (radio 1) Radio Lancashire (local) focuses on local news and is more entertaining.

This radio show (Chris Moyles) is a local radio show, and so only discusses what happens locally compared to the BBC radio shows which discuss world news. Chris Moyles' show consits more of entertainment is more of a layed back and informal station. This may be too layed back for what we are going to try to acheive.

These are two contrasting radio stations. Listening to the tones and moods of the stations we have decided to do a local radio station which only gives news out to local people, about the local area and is more informal. To do this we will need to have the right voices/presenters and topics which are suitable for this genre.
