Evaluation - What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The type of institution that would distribute my media product is Ipc Media. This is the company that distribute magazines like 'NME'. However, they don't just specialise with music magazines but also many other aspects within the magazine world, such as, 'Country Life' and 'Cycling Weekly' and they also produce over 60 iconic media brands. As they produce many different genres of magazine, they don't specialise with one gender or one particular social group, meaning that their magazines are out there to a wide range of people. There are also different divisions within IPC Media, such as, the magazines in which are aimed at women, are under the division IPC Connect and the men's, under the division IPC Inspire. These divisions are what appear inside the magazine, so the particular name that appears depends entirely on what kind of magazine it is and who it's aimed at. Also, as they're a well known distributor, their websites collectively reach over 14 million users every month, meaning more publicity for the magazines in which they publish.
IPC Media would distribute my media product because my magazine isn't particularly like any magazines that they publish so far. The only music product they publish is NME which is different to my magazine - they're both rock but mine is in a more subtle way.
