Evaluation Question Seven

Looking Back at Your Preliminary Task, What Do You Feel You Have Learnt in the Progression from It to the Final Product?

• How to create clear and more direct story therefore resulting a story more realistic.
• How different voices make characters and how having the right style, use of voice and accent can mean the difference between a realistic and a unrealistic character even if what they are saying may be complete nonsense or seem strange and unreal at first.
• Sticking something together at the last minute to be recorded without re reading and checking it isn’t good enough as each piece of script has to be checked and re-checked.
• Not to just settle for a take, when the voice actor has just performed as if reading it from a piece of paper as radio has to seem spontaneous we had to create a more believable and more confident tone of voice for all our characters to make them seem real and not in the slightest dull.
• How to keep the audience interested by moving swiftly through stories to stop the feel of them dragging out but yet long enough to make sure the listener can get all the information needed.
• That when we creating a piece of radio for a local radio you must include local locations, dialect, sociolect and accent as one piece of in continuity can destroy the feel of the whole show no matter how insignificant it may seem, you can never listen to your work to many times to check for mistakes.
