Evaluation Question Two

How Does Your Media
Product Represent Particular Social Groups?

Our media product mainly represents one social group which is students and young people in general, however we also represent musicians to a degree with the character of River Moonlight who we had portray him as we had as an arrogant overconfident bandleader who believes himself to be biggest thing in the world.
However the main social group in our broadcast is of course the students featured in our piece around the student protests who tells the reasons why they are angry and unhappy enough to actually be at a student demonstration. Opinions ranging from those whose are from poorer family backgrounds and those who are from wealthier backgrounds, but yet still disagree with the Conservative’s Party decision. We excluded the view of someone who agrees with the rise in tuition fees because of they did, they wouldn’t be at a demonstration against it.
In our cow tipping piece we represented other social groups, farmers and young people as we had `our interviewee farmer giving us his views and opinions about the problem and had him seem quite calm and understandable about the situation even though it of course angers him. From the way he talks about know the younger generation have nothing to do, so they cause trouble for fun, so we have quite a sympathetic farmer in our broadcast.
