I chose dark grey as the background colour as it is versatile and works well with any other colours.
I placed the XTC logo onto the top of the background at a slant, this is to ensure that anything placed on top of it, top or bottom, can be seen and the logo can still be seen behind them. I also chose the colour grey as I had decided on the colour yellow and black for my logo and wanted this to stand out from the background. If I'd picked a brighter colour e.g. orange, then the logo would not stand out as I had wanted.
