Front Cover

I placed my model in the centre of the page to make him the first thing that you see when you look at him. This is why I altered the alignment of the text on the front cover so that it would fit around my model, making him the focal point of the cover.

I wanted the magazine name to stand out against the pale background of the magazine, so I opted for a consistent colour scheme of black and red. This is the reson why I made the magazine name larger than the rest of the text, and used bold font like "Impact". As I learned from my research the head of the musical artist always partially obscured the magazine name, the text was never over the top of their face. However I did not obscur too much of the text because my magazine is not as established and I still wanted it to be readable.

I included basic information on the front cover such as a barcode, price of magazine, and date of issue. I put the barcode in front of the photograph so it could be properly read by the scanner. I also used a clear, readable font (calibri) for the price and issue date so that people would easily be able to read it.
