I also addressed my audiience by using more colloquial language such as "Bombay Bicycle club Sex Drugs... Yeah right." This type of language adresses my audience of a higher age range of teenagers as it would be inappropriate for a younger age group. Another example of this colloquial language is "Thugs Mugs and Kids and Drugs." By using this catchy phrase it attracts an older age range as it draws them into the reading the magazine as it isn't just boring language that they won't pay attention to. I used further rhyme to attract my audience by saying "The new Queen of Mean" which sums up the artist on my front cover in catchy effective fashion. Another way i attracted my audience is by displaying a competition on the front cover, to win tickets to see Kings of Leon which further fits into the genre of music my product is about.
I further attracted my audience on my double page spread by using two of images of my chosen model. One small image I included the model has her hands on her hips which adresses rock and roll fanatics as she is showing she has a paticular swagger about her and doesn't care what anybody thinks about her. She also is showing she is very confident and cocky which most rock and roll artists are.
I used many images my contents page to adress my audience of teenagers because if they was bombarded with losts and lots of text and littles images they wouldn't pay intrest to my product. I also used three images on my front cover and two on my double page spread to keep the readers interested and also to give a greater impression of the artists included in my product as images can say alot more about an artist than text can. I also used simple fonts to suit my genre of music as if it was more fancy it would suit a more heavy genre of music. I did include a second font style to make my product more appealing.
