How did you attract/address your audience? (Naithan Gaskell)

My front cover is an image of a young, upcoming act. He is in a powerfull, confident stance, looking straight into the camera lense, assive he is looking straight into the eyes of who ever is looking at the cover. This draws the viewer into the product. However, many young people inspire to people with confidence, wealth and attractiveness. I believe my frontcover does this well, and as the model is young, further ealtes to the audience i am trying to attract. Also, my models clothing is what many of todays young people wear, this makes the image relate to the reader.

I have also featured in my magazine "Live Bands". This allows the reader to see when their favourate (or even new) bands/artists are playing and where. This means that they can then see the advertisement for the bands consert and can go about buying tickets for the gig. The small article about the live bands will give reviews on past perfromances and whether they recomend to go and see the band in consert. This gives advice and information to the reader, helping to build a relationship with the magazine, and the reader.

The tone of my magazine is layed back and relaxed, with uses of slang. "BEHIND THE HUMOUR". This technique is used to build a friendly relatioship with the reader, making them more attched to the product. I have also used different fonts within my product. This is to make certain things stand out and draw attension to them. However, they stick to the house style of my magazine and do not change the genre.

I have also used bright constrasting colours which stand out as you can see on the front cover, and also the contents and double page spread. This attracts the readers attension. Also, young people like bright colours that stand out, making my magazine stand out to the individuals. Secondly, i have included as many pictures as i can, becasue as the phrase suggests, "a picture can be desribed with a thousand words" and as many young people would rather look at pictures than to read a dull black and white page of just text, my magazine offers many bright pictures that are much more interesting, so that the reader can see what the article is about first, rather than to just read about it.
