Part II...

Once again after looking at more openings to films which pan across a central room of a character showing photos, newspaper clippings, items personally linked to that character I have found two more examples to show the idea more clearly than in the film "What About Bob?".

These are the 2005 film "Sahara" by Breck Eisner, which fades in from a pre-credit scene into a drawing on a desk in the room. Then begins to pan around the showing photographs and newspaper articles about the main two characters and more of the cast. It also shows various pieces of equipment and models to show what the characters job is, in this case its shows scientific equipment being used along with items related to archaeological description. Both these giving the audiecne a sesne of this characters lifestyle and intelligence.

Another film that does this is "Back To The Future".

To be continued...
