Front Cover Analysis

This is my first attempt at analysing the front cover of a music magazine. I am doing this so when I come to create my own, I know what a music magazine should look like and I will be able to make it look genuine.

The title is all in capitals and is a bright colour, with a thick, black stroke around theedge of the lettering to make it stand out against the dark background.

The picture on the front of the magazine is of a famous musician (rather than a picture of a place or inatimate object). The picture is also on a layer in front of the text to give the image prominence and make create a 3D effect because he looks like he’s coming off the page.

There is a constant colour scheme of blue and white in the text on the front cover. From this, i know that when I create my own magazine I will need a consistant colour scheme (not just random colours everywhere).
