On my contents page, I decided to keep my colour scheme of red and black, keeping the background white so the text is readable. My main model, who appears on the front of the magazine cover, is also the main picture inside the contents page. He is stood in the same stance and is stood in an alley way because my title of the magazine is ‘Urban’. There is a letter from the editor in the top left corner which is designed to excite the reader as it announces that some of the world’s most famous rappers are interviewed within the magazine.

Artist’s names such as ‘Mistakiller’ and ‘General Sparkz’ are typical names for someone who performs this genre of music. I chose names such as these to make the magazine more authentic. The content in my magazine boasts a host of album reviews, live review, features which are designed to stand out so the layout is clear and the text is readable, as the font ‘impact’ is large and bold. With some photographs, such as the one of the artist called ‘The D.C.’ is used my photoshop skills to make it look like it could be an album cover. Also, the picture of ‘Sindee Rose’ is layered onto a different background using photoshop. I did this to make her look like a real music star rather than a girl in her bedroom.
