After many inconveniences and lack of planning and time, by the time we have filmed our project there would be very little or even no time for editing.
So we have deciding to use skills and techniques that we both have in Music Technology, sound recording and manipulation. Along with compositional skills developed in both our musical backgrounds, to switch to the radio brief instead and to maybe base it on entertainment news.
We will compose any music/jingles ourselves for the show and use the sequening software Cubase 5 to do this.
We have already began to time the music to our broadcast, as shown in the example below.
Recording ofthe outside broadcast and studio broadcast will be done very shortly.
Here is our intened script.

B: Good Morning you’re tuned into 0.42 Fm Radio NW the biggest station of the North-West Airwaves and this is In the Morning with Cameron Todd.
Now, as always we’ll start straight away with a bit of news in the entertainment world.
*Outside broadcast 1*
R: This is Benjamin Birch, backstage, at the last unsigned gig of Communications from Elsewhere, who later this is signing up to what seems to be one of the biggest deals of the century. I’m here with the head of the band, Freddie Duncan. Now C.F.E. has been storming the North-West from can only be described as humble beginnings am I right??
B: Well we did like start out as something to do like bit of a mess around in our spare time.
R: Any Particular Reason for the name of C.F.E.??
B: Well after messing around for a while we thought we like sounded pretty good, we went to start like writing you know songs, and we felt like the younger generation of today has such a stereotyped image like, you know shut out from the rest of the world, and that our true voice to be heard from a different view.
R: So tell us how one of the biggest names in the recording industry Chris Harrison of Chewie Beats came to approach you??
B: Well basically we started noticing the same guy was always hanging around where ever we gigged and one night he just came up to us gave us a card. So we rang the number like and we got put through to the head of Chewie Beats.
R: Thanks for that, well there you have it the untold story of Communications from Elsewhere.
*end of outside broadcast*
D: Thank you Ben, Now let’s continue this story by having an unbiased view of C.F.E by talking to the renowned music critic, Cole Damon White. What’s your take on this new form of music?
C: Well when I first heard of this new inspirational music which essentially turned out to be a formation and hybrid of several musical styles. I was appalled and strangely intrigued however after listening to them at a gig I found there mixture of reggae/funk/grunge to be... Pretty good actually.
R: There you go folks, a more professional view of C.F.E.
Now most of you have probably of one of youngest role models out but a few years down the line it turns Melissa O’Day has in fact been found been in possession of cocaine, over 100 pounds of it. Our reporter had a brief word with her best friend and agent about the shocking discovery. This was her reply.
*Outside broadcast 2 or vox pop??*
A: I was just shocked; I mean so shock to find out that Mel had this addiction that never seemed to show, I mean shockingly it explains why she was so paranoid all the time. It was such a shock.
*end of broadcast 2 or vox pop??*
D: As you heard it was a shock indeed to the whole industry.
Now let’s move on to the more serious side. Apple has finally made a bid to buy out their biggest competitor Microsoft, and it has worked. As the world waits a deal is being struck right now as Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple and Bill Gates founder of Microsoft meet today.
*cue*
As we all know as the government has recently unleashed plans to cut university funding, students have been in uproar and protests on the grow, as more protests keep getting uglier as a group of school girls even had to surround a police van to stop violent students. Protesting that this is not the way for our voices to be heard. C.F.E. is also apparently writing a song to coincide with this. However because of the more violent of these demonstrations police have now decided to patrol most universities.
*cue*
Now for our short and final story of the day of how a full size cow apparently attempted to engulf a man’s head. We head down to the country to hear this.
R: So tell me what exactly you saw to the listeners.
F: Well I was just stood there watching the herd when a group of teenagers came wandering in trying to tip my cows when one of them got straight back up opened its mouth wide and his head just went. I ran straight over, had to put old Bessie down although he deserved the lout, he’ll have plenty o scars to remind him not to tip my cows again.
R: Yes as we all know cow tipping is wrong, back to the studio.
*Cue*
D: Yes there is indeed a moral to this story, well said. Now I’m sorry to say but that’s all we have time for this morning, for more news check our website, tune in to our podcasts or be patient and wait another hour for the latest news. This is Cameron Todd On In the Morning for Radio NW, signing out and wishing you a shiny day.
